Bruce Wayne is to Batman as Methodloft is to Fatawesome. We operate under the brand Fatawesome to showcase our ‘less-corporate’ creative side. Under Fatawesome we produce Sketch Comedy, Webcomics, and perform live too. To date, our content has been featured on sites such as Digg, Collegehumor, Funnyordie, Cracked, Reddit, and Stumbleupon; and networks such as MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, the BBC, and G4.
We started making videos together in high school (of jumping into bushes and reinacting scenes from COPS) and continued making short films in college. With the boom of viral videos, we set out with a goal- make a viral video before graduating. Turtleboy was born.
In only a few short days, the video was featured on the top venues on the internet and accrued a significant amount of attention. The clip has been dubbed viral by channels like MTV, VH1, and G4. We even recently re-licensed the clip to a national channel in Tokyo. We confirmed our wild notion that we might have a knack for this whole ‘viral’ thing.
We continued to make videos and continued getting the attention we were so blatantly begging for. We’ve had a couple of big hits and some duds along the way, but we’re proud to say we’ve made it on Comedy Central a few times and haven’t had to resort to our backup plan- A Peanut Butter and Jelly restaurant (no menu, pb&j that’s it).
Methodloft isn’t so much a separate venture from Fatawesome, as it is a more ‘corporate’ friendly front (Bruce Wayne, duh). We’ve taken our video production and design skills and combined them with our creativity and knowledge of the internet to bring something truly unique to the table.
